Yup! it’s real, you are really in Marrakech :p After an early breakfast, we set out to the fascinating and colourful heart of Marrakech- the Medina where you put your haggling skills to the test (not to worry, I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve ;)) Here, you’ll find a huge array of items from sumptuous spices, brightly coloured textiles, Moroccan sweets, locally made lanterns, ornate tea sets to the biggest tagines known to man. From the Koutoubia mosque, Saadian tombs to the Ben Youssef Medersa and Museum Photographie & Visual arts, we are in for a day filled with culture, history and dope pictures!

Leaving room for spontaneity and inspiration, you get the earlier part of the day free. It could be the perfect time for one to one sessions with our photographer. In case you didn’t catch it, you’ll be leaving with pictures to last you a lifetime! After an afternoon tea stop at a beautiful restaurant, we’ll head out to the YSL Museum -Jardine Majorelle and end the day with a traditional Hammam and Henna at the square!(optional and not included in costs)

On this day, we will do the following:

  • Drive across Agafay desert, just outside Marrakech to LallaTakerkoust lake;
  • Ride camels at the edge of the High Atlas Mountains for an hour;
  • Cross the Berber country side in Plateau de Kik with snow capped Atlas Mountains peaks as a backdrop;
  • Enjoy a cup of mint tea with home made bread and olive oil at a Berber family house;
  • Enjoy an hour hike in Toubkal National Park (optional, mules available for a ride if you wish); and
  • Enjoy a lamb Tagine prepared for you by a Berber host family.

It’s a day filled with adventure and living like a local! 😀

We bid our farewells to Marrakech and set out early to the blue pearl- CHEFCHAOUEN passing through FEZ which is a 5hr drive from our riad (flexibility with sight seeing, stops, food and picture moments) We spend a few hours in Fez to arrive at our traditional Chefchaouen riad at night! The day is more or less spent on the road but after 4 days with 5 amazing ladies, be sure you’ll be entertained or rest in between. 😀

YAS to this city! YASS. The enchanting city of Chefchaouen, where the buildings are blue and the people are true! After a scrumptious breakfast, we set out to explore the narrow alleys and steep climbs in the Medina. Unravelling the hidden gems and the visual feasts at every corner, we are in for a fun filled day and picture moments too – the perfect moment to flex your photography skills.
It is also a popular shopping destination in Morocco as it offers native handicrafts that are not available anywhere else be sure to make a steal or two! 😀
Later in the day, we will head to watch the most magical sunset from the Spanish Mosque where we will have a perfect view of the city…. *wake me up, I’m dreaming again*

You think day 6 was amazing? We take a half day trip to Cascades D’akchour waterfall which is a 45mins drive away. Taking in the scenery enroute to the waterfall, we spend our day hiking the trails and jumping into waterfalls! Whoop!
For the other half of the day, we head back to our riad, pick our bags and head to the airport.
Sad goodbyes and promises for a next time will be made.
The End.

  • A huge appreciation goes to Lee of Spirited Pursuit. Firstly, for being my Moroccan Muse as she is one of the reasons I daydream about Morroco and also for letting me use her amazing pictures! Every time I see her pictures, I keep telling myself “I want her Morocco” and I’m so happy because her Morocco is definitely what we will be seeing and getting!
    Check out her blog for more inspiration!
  • And to my darling Fola, you’re a gem.
